D Style - Self-Dumping Steel Hoppers with Bumper Release
SERIES: D

Hopper automatically dumps when bumper release contacts the front of the dumpster. Hopper returns to an upright and locked position automatically after it dumps. Also includes a cable that may be operated from the seat of the fork truck to manually dump the hopper. A safety restraint is provided to secure the hopper to the fork truck. Usable fork pockets are 7-1/2"W x 2-1/2"H. Self-dumping hoppers facilitate compliance with OSHA General Industry rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii) by allowing lift truck operators to remain at the controls of their truck throughout the dumping process. Optional leak proof design sold separately. D-25, D-33, D-50, D-75, and D-100 are stackable if you stack the top hopper turned 90 degrees from the bottom. Blue baked-in powder-coated toughness is standard. Must be attached to fork truck when dumping.

Q: I'm looking at the self dumping hopper . Does it come with casters?

A: Casters are available for the D- Style Self-Dumping Hopper. Please see the hopper caster options page for multiple options.

Q: Can the size of the self dumping hopper be modified?

A: We may be able to modify the width of the hopper. We are not able to modify the length. Please contact a sales associate for details.

Q: What does the "LD" mean on the hopper?

A: LD is "light duty" 12 gauge steel, 2,000 lb. capacity. MD is "medium duty" 10 gauge steel, 4,000 lb. capacity. HD is "heavy duty" 8 gauge steel , 6,000 lb. capacity.

Q: What is the bolt hole pattern for the casters?

A: The pattern gets punched at the front and back of each fork tube for the casters. The hole diameter is 7/16".

Q: Can the hoppers be used with a telehandler?

A: We do NOT recommend using the hopper with a telehandler. These hoppers are designed for use with powered fork lift trucks.

Q: What caster should I purchase for the hopper?

A: The mold on rubber and poly on steel casters with their soft tread are quiet and ideal for uneven floors. The glass filled nylon casters provide a smoother roll. The semi-steel and ductile steel casters are the most durable. Your sales associate can help you match the capacity and size of the caster kits to your hopper.

Q: What is the capacity of the lifting lugs?

A: The capacity of the lifting lug is compatible with the capacity of the hopper.

Q: I see under the options tab the D-TILT. Does that have to be installed at the time I order a hopper?

A: The D-TILT can be customer/field installed.

Hopper automatically dumps when bumper release contacts the front of the dumpster. Hopper returns to an upright and locked position automatically after it dumps. Also includes a cable that may be operated from the seat of the fork truck to manually dump the hopper. A safety restraint is provided to secure the hopper to the fork truck. Usable fork pockets are 7-1/2"W x 2-1/2"H. Self-dumping hoppers facilitate compliance with OSHA General Industry rule 29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii) by allowing lift truck operators to remain at the controls of their truck throughout the dumping process. Optional leak proof design sold separately. D-25, D-33, D-50, D-75, and D-100 are stackable if you stack the top hopper turned 90 degrees from the bottom. Blue baked-in powder-coated toughness is standard. Must be attached to fork truck when dumping.
